 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
O* p T# o2 m% |% p$ g Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.( m# x4 b0 \' B5 x$ ?! Y
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
" {9 C- v7 S2 y7 r Completing required paperwork.
7 K+ D3 r" S3 w# m Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
) U' u$ F+ r- c N* P* d! p Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.. K u A0 T7 C; d3 {/ G4 V
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. : U1 o6 D% d# j v- y
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
7 R g' L& u4 I H Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
$ P& V# ]; C0 c Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:" y3 N' O3 r' F% w
2 N8 O- c. Z' x s5 X) w+ o3 G, O Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.3 N' h0 i! W5 p* T( z
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
; E$ E; S; n7 f$ g: x7 o Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.4 H& y% j: T3 S) [! m( W
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.- `5 _# v' w& R, \
 Knowledge of community resources.
1 i3 \+ I- x* q3 I7 u/ W Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.( q* w$ @# J X5 ~
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

& f/ t5 A U6 KThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
