Key Responsibilities & Duties:* ]- C8 r# M* O7 Z, z( X

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.1 v6 E' v* e$ Z# E. g+ T; l' X
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.6 s* I, m$ Z/ h1 s3 M, C7 b
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth./ w8 B0 s) H1 c7 r; S9 Q& l8 t2 h
 Completing required paperwork.1 X- ~' T+ g% t' k X0 E4 X2 n
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
7 n' C) f4 L$ L Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.' {7 _. A0 `7 F3 T5 p
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.

 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.+ j6 }0 p2 V& C% Q# {7 r/ ^
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
, ]- A( v( M# t% {: ~ Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
z* z+ e0 Y5 ?% W Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
" `- }! F" v4 Z Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.. W9 i7 y0 Z3 L" c4 K
 Knowledge of community resources.
1 W6 ~- [) T5 Y) @! m7 J; j+ L5 G Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.* @+ o& X/ h6 K* v& c" a
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
G: t2 O! n. W" V pstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
