 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
7 g9 e# J& m$ ^8 @ Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
9 E3 d- w: t/ W! S4 S& E Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
0 q4 n3 |) M8 R- _3 _  @ Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
0 N- {! `' n7 t0 A Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
: x% @* ]! x3 H Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
" `5 j9 K  O# {8 V" R8 v8 N Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
. k/ {7 B( h) ~0 @ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
