Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
( t* p+ E  N& o. y  H/ cReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
8 K! z9 P  G4 z# o4 u, xResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

0 ]2 c: C+ e# C3 Z+ ^4 _5 q! `9 v
Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
( @5 c# ?% v. W) tMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
& ~* u! @: ^6 ]7 h+ cMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
# ~% |1 k5 W- [+ O& YExperience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
  Z+ u1 v7 ~9 @# l9 NUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
" k! L, h7 u, B* CCompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
