Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
5 B. d! f$ ^$ c- |: AReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
0 n8 x& O2 j; ]6 E+ k5 lResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients  

Qualifications
, [8 w/ ^0 U% x% }# M! l3 o
6 T0 j  p; T- C# a5 ~/ e6 L- |/ R1 C3 l3 l# ?Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
% H5 A, B$ C  X: p9 P  N1 UMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
# o. @* q2 {* \Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
) f+ s% ~# F* _1 d4 F4 |" P$ pCompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
0 ?& d: u" T1 a. JAbility to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
