Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects * D+ h% a: k) d
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
i- _$ O& j& C" ~7 cResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs - O- U3 R; D. p k, K/ ?. _: j" D8 g
Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

2 L1 x0 c6 n+ m) P6 x/ wQualifications
2 r# W$ Q5 z6 u# U1 y9 N1 e! d; S. s k. L: ^/ W' d2 D! s7 `
Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman / z' D, [2 E# E1 u. z) G- e# P- C
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings / a8 e/ W" O1 u! o' a
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman # w/ B0 c z- ^/ E
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
% b9 \' b0 B7 U* T3 _6 VUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
v4 v. k4 [) G# ?% n/ A" \Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects % G( A5 Z9 w( H) D$ I/ E3 K
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
" A( M: O7 B7 y' }$ MAbility to communicate with all levels of management
q2 Q' g0 E/ mAbility to work independently as well as in a team
