An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

•        Process research equipment design;
' Z2 n! t  d$ x" F/ G•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

& G8 `9 \3 d3 e! [: ~6 HQualifications:
4 f5 G* W: z$ P  P•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
: e" V4 V; o* x$ l) d0 h1 M•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
0 n* a5 h4 u) Y; x•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
4 N% q  R$ o- t1 w9 `9 h: jSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
