An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

; n# K( m/ k$ z% bMajor Responsibilities:
  f' @- E+ [$ J1 i1 q•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
# d# H1 q4 B: t- T•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
1 B! W( y9 l* ?, K1 z0 ]2 o•        Others.

1 F& y: m9 k* C7 S. J" B6 Z" I7 \Qualifications:
•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
% Y9 m3 n  l- l0 n  ?" _. i6 k•        Equipment design experience is required;
•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
) n3 Z8 v2 w, n# L, w4 qSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
