An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

# F5 U( w# |# C$ w7 W& C# UMajor Responsibilities:
5 {& ^7 J2 |* w0 H7 [•        Process research equipment design;
0 F( z( S) s; M+ Y2 A- r•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
( x/ K/ i& N8 N5 E•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

+ L$ r; x5 A! A- v" m: O& {* QQualifications:
•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
, P5 v! `" O- P! w5 H/ ~% }; j& V! i8 o•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
0 s- @$ W' C* z( h# N2 G" y) N•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
