. U% @+ \0 v+ e Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth." _1 F3 o2 q. r; H3 j
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
4 L; ^# r* r7 f5 ^; a! _3 i, g% y Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
) U: e; {/ w4 F" g1 s# `) @5 t Completing required paperwork.
5 n" T5 `' H- c* W& x& F2 b( u2 X% u Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
- L3 A- {) i! J( n! m Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
1 q, [* P R& Y4 l8 M' M Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
! B4 O' o) j4 |9 W Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
! h; u% D1 L6 E f } Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.: y- w/ P) o2 M6 Q# \
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.6 ^( N$ f( ]9 T
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
" r% E: J+ p* O* L0 f6 ? Knowledge of community resources.
8 ` F3 N( R1 I Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
& {% i% x# S* n) \" B7 D& P Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. - J/ `5 W u+ ]- j) v5 b i

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; . J7 @6 J4 P- @& e# a
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
