; h" p4 t$ R# V$ I( n5 o Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
: a0 Y% W( E% L7 A# u7 B Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
( ~# B! D0 B( I Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
6 O: K) f' f1 |$ N  K7 Y, y Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
/ I6 T) _* X4 P" ~ Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
8 I- m5 v7 ]3 s# d7 q Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
3 @! B0 x+ g$ D Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

& z; M; s& Q7 w! ?4 A. g3 k  z
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
- [9 Y% u& n& W9 ? Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
6 @. h5 R6 l$ P Knowledge of community resources.
9 S1 |' a( z+ A- O+ ~3 E Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

3 E/ \# B2 L2 e+ GPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
  S. _# X3 s' c# `4 astarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
