. A* d" T7 E& lKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
) \. V7 m; H0 q- M& H1 r, @ Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
* g1 g( |& r- i) p* S4 |$ ~ Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
: R. j- B  g' Y$ a5 x Completing required paperwork.
0 Y: v4 Z2 ]. n' n0 E7 D Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
7 U1 Z0 Q( z  _# E Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
, A8 a2 f" z3 D7 N2 e Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
: @( z7 m! n# J4 e* e3 L3 e Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

* }7 f" x! p: f) i' F8 j) RQualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
* H' c" Q1 d  L/ o Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
! ^3 ~5 E+ B0 k Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
; v9 g' O5 @" [! nThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
