Key Responsibilities & Duties:! {( @- Q( c& e% T- N! H
6 @; {! X1 c4 E: {4 n; b Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.. k' r: R, Z$ V8 s) n
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
* {6 b0 n" W9 ^! a# Q1 @1 | Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.- B0 p4 ]9 R0 B
 Completing required paperwork.3 t P9 y% U5 s8 a1 i3 Z, d" F
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.9 e8 a2 U9 d8 M; [8 c* N
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
* M+ V6 A5 C% p6 S Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. ! I5 j- s" w2 _: V
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
8 L6 f) J; l, Y/ k Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
' @2 d9 o' U2 |. }9 c8 _ Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:
) J% | W+ Z- [, O4 L) r; N: E8 u
- Z% v( r* a. m5 f( F Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
K3 a; x& [ Y5 D+ z+ L Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.7 {1 W; ^2 \8 s9 j2 L
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.* n9 }5 a; n& I5 L, Y# }, P2 a' `
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
, ^+ Q4 |# [* ?% f Knowledge of community resources./ l/ J0 E# F' g7 v; A
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.; e/ l& B% i4 C5 F3 p
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
