[2 S, ^5 n- d. y% @Essential Qualifications: excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society; experience facilitating educational sessions using participatory techniques; demonstrated leadership abilities with youth; experience with project coordination; degree or diploma in human services field. Preferred: knowledge of immigrant or Aboriginal culture and/or language; experience with functioning of non-profit society.2 l& A7 c! L+ T: Z; z8 G7 F

$ I) \ r. `4 |. yRecruit Volunteers – facilitate on-going recruitment of volunteers to participate in the core group of PA; this is done by inviting members of groups who are being presented to, making contact with other youth groups, and by print media, broadcast media, and e-mail invitations. k4 N/ u9 B% u b
; ?$ |- T$ ]0 B% H) Q" k, ]: DTraining – facilitate weekly meetings of core group volunteers. Training in participatory techniques, presentation techniques, and knowledge of race-related issues.

Organize Presentations – advertise presentations through distribution of brochures and posters and by contacting interested groups and schools by phone, email, and mail; take requests for presentations, set up dates, and ensure adequate volunteers are present to facilitate discussion.! z0 B) }* x: C5 A
N& l0 U: [6 [9 N$ ^/ w4 XNetworking – attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate; create/maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations.* i! z1 s2 ?, x9 z1 |
% `) r, @! v( t! O5 DProfessional Development – be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.2 T0 ~$ h- {: ^8 }: P ?- A

Proposal Creation – with program manager, create proposals to all funders of this project. Ensure criteria for each funder is met in each proposal. Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators. ) n4 H) @3 m. O4 l. c
. Z9 J+ r, a' P) @. BProject Evaluation & Reports – submit timely monthly, quarterly, annual reports and include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model. a8 i9 w; M) K) o! h/ q. v9 _+ Y, A+ i
