& L2 @% @# p3 s0 p5 F8 a1. sub floor did not hold tight to the floor joists. Screws are doing better than nails for this purpose.2 d/ F4 S$ Q) J# V& p) z3 U
2. supporting beams are a bit too far away from each other.( w' N' |; J* ~# k" J
3. supporting beams are not level due to earth settlement.

For 2, you may need someone with engineering knowledge to find out, but there should be a building code governing the span distance. For 3, you can go down the basement to do a visual check yourself.* W. }( s- `! _& M
But anyway, insist the builder to fix the problem right away, don't let them get away with 6 months time. |
