MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

+ _5 f8 k( k$ G- VKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
/ p$ m3 i: \; }$ }* R        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

5 l3 q$ R3 q, M4 n1 }6 ~' _QUALIFICATIONS:
5 [: @7 T& U: z8 }! y•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
% a! E& c& r, ~5 q1 P•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
