Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

1 }2 Z; M) j/ O/ {# g( eKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
5 o: I# c, q, q  t* w$ j; t        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
$ C" r' N2 }& j8 _  Q* W' r  U        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

# B' g9 r1 `% v6 L7 GQUALIFICATIONS:
9 P" h+ x( O' ^, X  D2 ]4 L$ d3 D( O•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
: f/ I  O2 [& x•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
2 G1 A0 |( S3 W3 N% e  y/ |•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
8 l  B1 j& m% n) K3 }3 q•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
6 J1 L) L* E# R( A•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
* g' b; Y4 R# }3 `0 m6 E•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
8 E+ m$ L% c3 R# {7 F3 O$ ]' g•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
