Salary:         $40,462 - $56,410 per year, depending on education and experience. $ c& ~6 ~3 f- B- S+ b4 H

Recruit Participants  m* ?! s" W. l4 j& q7 S7 j6 G

' E  W2 Y  [! S! ~# n8 F7 p$ ^- o-        facilitate recruitment of participants for the Keshotu Leadership Academy: U8 w! \+ \6 n* P
-        conduct interviews to ensure participants have necessary qualities
% w* y! O' l: w' k7 Z+ B9 r9 d3 X. H; d* {* Q/ \
Organize Leadership Training Sessions" N/ R. p3 l: c: w$ A* i3 A
-        locate an appropriate venue for weekly meetings" l# `, K% j8 i7 N8 @2 p/ y
-        set up a plan for the span of the project (Jan 08 – Dec 08) for weekly meetings& \6 M% I  W. k3 Z2 `
-        use project proposal to ensure time is spent with all identified areas
8 g" \' f! B% G' ]4 O; ]: B' l) r; L& W* j! L+ |) _# g
Plan and Facilitate identified public events" N: ]: v0 O! i7 ^8 x
-        with youth participants
0 V- t/ u- ]6 O8 Q% s2 ~; C8 Q

" k) F7 ]! \+ ~, ]- j" Z* u-        work with media consultant to ensure good coverage of project$ c) w9 T7 ]0 H, v7 \% _

-        attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate
7 |8 l/ @( r& t-        create and maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations: t0 I" g: f1 {$ {

-        Be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.

Proposal Creation
" p: r' z. n9 U& e( K-        With program manager, create proposals to continue funding of this project. 3 `! x  ?- @, F" o9 ]; E
-        Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators
. W  N4 E: G8 N* K6 i" V4 V, L
/ }3 `, W# q3 Y( V9 K" a. `8 GReports to Funders and Program Manager) c( x) u1 y( @; z+ [/ L
-        submit quarterly reports to program manager and timely reports according to requirements of each funder
! \% B% y2 Z( R1 m1 C3 z. z5 q( X4 I
Project Evaluation
" L0 F: M; j1 C-        work with external evaluation consultant to collect appropriate data for evaluation
1 X1 L  i- t2 O: ~( b-        include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model

Qualifications for this Position

( N; ?5 i& @& n2 F( n6 s/ O-        excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society
& T8 X: }. m( }, l# @( y+ G. ^/ ]-        demonstrated leadership abilities with youth6 k- K: W1 _5 G/ Y
-        experience with project coordination& v% {& F; B9 r+ m( e5 [8 W% E& h
-        degree or diploma in human services field
- N$ x! H; V! W; S. W) _2 y. V% [-        developed knowledge and skills in one or more performing arts
