What Makes Christmas Magical

During the Christmas season, summer and its body-conscious state of mind
4 H& }' `! p# K' Dare distant memories. Hearty indulgence in the many foods shared at Christmas
' Z0 B# x- `9 H. i! o- f; ]therefore doesn't produce the same feelings of guilt. Nevertheless, its not a % ?* z5 C: O' ^
pleasant thought to start the New Year carrying any extra pounds. So why then
9 X6 J9 w  I8 w9 O# A! peat yourself into a resolution to 'take off a few extra pounds' if you can
+ h5 C; g, d9 K* D2 ]. ^4 Nsmartly avoid it?
5 U& l4 f' X) l" K; V6 \?Whether it's sharing cookies and candies at work, or having an evening out 3 T  [, H5 Z# y* |$ \  t
at a party or dinner, you can have Christmas food and enjoy it. While you seem
. d/ t2 b% I% k" Xto be eating heartily with a smile, the key is to have a secret strategy of 3 V% J% x3 c; }! ?- ~* V
moderation. It involves sticking to a plan that can be called 'Eating on a
: J" {; Z* r3 z9 C3 Q0 _" XBudget.'

to a lot of cookies, candies and other sweets at Christmas. At work, you may
7 ^6 L, c$ s+ ]0 Grisk appearing like the Grinch who stole Christmas if your response will always 3 J1 l% U" x, ~8 Q  m
be something like, 'Uh..no..bah humbug' all the time that some Christmas goodies
( e, {3 @/ V: y+ aare offered. It will seem as if you aren't in the spirit of the holidays & q& d% D6 p) T2 u
especially since at that time of year everyone is usually in a festive and more
  v  }; B" n& E* Q( H8 Jrelaxed mood, and the pace at work is usually slower.
9 K, y! n1 \: u9 K" f?A practical way to partake in Christmas goodies, for example, is to
$ D  Q2 J/ v/ N! l9 nsubstitute some holiday cookies for say the bagel that you usually have with 3 N, t6 l$ K  w* r3 ~4 d9 X7 n
breakfast or for a mid-morning snack. And instead of just taking one cookie, " t5 w* @0 W  ^/ [) d& X
from the platter, which is noticeable and likely will encourage a colleague to
, ]) f4 M0 V8 `% e$ h. \tell you to have more, take three instead. That's where the plan can come into
! J) K( Z) ^. @$ ^( `; aplay. You can then enjoy the cookies over two or more hours,ed hardy hoodies, because nobody will
" r* j! Q4 M  J) jbe watching how you really eat. You can always have a few candies, one cookie or
+ r) {4 \% K5 Q. M# _' O) Pa cookie and a half by your desk and that way it will seem as if you are " D4 G4 i# O* z8 R
heartily enjoying the holiday treats.?
& O5 W* p" p4 n5 `?Another strategy is to bring - bake or buy - low calorie Christmas cookies
: L0 v5 a) d6 T. o* zand candies to work to counteract others that are being offered. Since eating
) ~( ^4 d1 W  b+ \/ X1 @healthy is highly encouraged, health-conscious cookies will not be looked down
' ~) a7 c& H9 _7 F! Uupon so long as they taste great. A box of sugar-free Christmas chocolate
+ {+ z& e" l  D, b% z' G1 a6 ccandies for example will look just as delightful as regular chocolate candies.
+ c5 M  x# Q8 z) rIt's interesting to note that in a poll sponsored by the National Confectioners

on a Budget' plan means that serving portions and the choice of food selected
. c1 j" O+ I! M: ]& g: s3 K% _should be carefully watched. ' d8 D; j/ d+ ^* y* a
At a party where more desserts and sweets are likely to be available, a few of
. @# e+ S  w5 s& x1 ]the selections can be sampled. If the urge to try everything can't be resisted,
; l1 t4 i& t4 V3 D9 T* h: y4 {then do so, but then second helpings have to be severely limited. The same is

during Christmas Dinner will be heavier, so by selecting portions wisely,air max tn, one ) R* P5 i6 B5 v' P2 D5 @
can always say truthfully that the stomach is full.

from food and your soul full of joy from sharing another memorable holiday
