Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and

- G" C! P9 q- z- O5 S1 B• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of + T$ a' N' H( x, G) v& t
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
$ A: K+ V7 E: B* ?" |' o. W5 tthe Board of Directors; 1 J* \# X8 a4 O( Z/ Q
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
% ]( o% a9 `' ^' `# v& d9 b8 uincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to - k# x' {. k2 H/ H; {- D
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; ! Q$ I8 \* F& Y: }! i' u
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
$ ]0 ^3 Q) r, C8 @objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; # c* @) u T( A4 _0 H
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
9 p: h- S* A8 z' ^* \1 Nthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; . t8 W# ^- _2 C2 \5 T8 Z
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 9 ]& L; i* R- L1 m. Q0 S* I
changing needs of the organization and community;
8 m% N) S8 ~+ Q; k0 t5 e' C• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; - z+ _4 z$ ?$ s- W6 q
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
! Z) r! s0 Y6 kselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 6 O- p6 B* U: J% [1 i/ A
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; 2 ~4 ~2 z) X# h2 \+ k2 m& y0 u
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to
( d7 V0 S) A5 O: A- ieffectively and positively represent the association;

" H I* Z1 h9 o- v4 _& m• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring 4 z9 ~5 F+ m) H
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
/ V! a' ^& {0 ]; D) P6 q5 d5 Y9 n% q- Q• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal ( ]# R+ e/ P7 r9 F8 L! P1 Z
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED $ [$ _ N. I& b, t9 F
the forthcoming year; 8 a1 U9 }( M+ E9 ?. d
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
9 T/ L/ ]8 U/ Y0 K% r/ Vpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

+ m) }5 v) o; S9 E• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; ) M( F T! w3 U/ j* m
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation 9 i3 _ I- R+ h# s/ H
abilities;
3 J& n( M ]& c; ~4 j3 f3 D4 z' k6 v• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
, j& S5 B* C& _3 ^$ L$ L: ?Networking and Fundraising;

• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women
