The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.  a: J5 _4 A; Q' Y. U/ R

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers$ N0 T" p" w% f5 t) Y
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution + B& C6 B. I! D" Q; x" x3 A
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
. x1 p; m& v9 Y0 W2 [' Z§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
9 D1 x. {; Y; J* T§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk; w" H! B/ j" u# `6 o) s* \: @) E
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
( v- s2 C2 E$ ^" ^2 V9 A. J) T0 V§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties5 [8 c5 \8 o+ r! i0 S1 [
§ Special projects as required

Qualifications:
% E6 U; K/ n& A, w" l- Q, A§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience* l4 l" y* |& ^6 |4 A
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision' g% N) d5 ?* V! s" R
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
  o% Z$ }" h, M§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
9 j1 z% K* C6 q2 r/ v. ~: w§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware1 F; ~  x. I' Q5 t! _' [
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software' a( @5 w# s+ H
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems+ m' U3 f. x+ b. M; ?

Position Summary:/ I: }+ f4 l# m5 q
The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

§ Manage a stable local IT environment   L# N4 F8 Q$ m- v9 y! s
§ Manage and coach staff in IT group1 m+ [* }$ K! I/ P
§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support
5 s6 u+ h6 S! k8 w/ X7 h§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
5 z6 U7 R8 t+ q7 Q/ M4 t§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
; v" H6 ?0 g  t) g- ~+ y' M§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
' x( U6 [& h3 j2 ^- Z. ~! c§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to' N7 W. B* M' N! k" \; I# v+ T
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
' r  u3 z- N7 d" d4 q§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access. L6 N8 N( `% \  @' a  q
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
* M* k" |* D( T: d, S1 Q3 a  k§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
: B( u! p; s, h+ Y§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
9 C/ V8 N' ^3 T; l* a§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert2 h  L  n% S4 J/ _) r
§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management* y5 v& v- B/ b0 A
§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance2 M# r+ S' \7 N4 V4 X
§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT
6 R) n  z, ~* ]' X7 k0 @§ Coordinate and support end user training- p, P1 p# f+ g
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers8 u5 x. E7 R: B) i) }
§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance8 o: K% H# q# W8 A) t+ I4 A% T+ d- V
§ Manage all printers in the building

§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within an organization

: m, i  N! }6 p. r在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
