Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
# D. Z! G3 I1 O: O1 ?- l6 o! ]0 }2 y-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
' G- }: L( g  G  t' U-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
1 ~6 H; }$ a( Q' l- d; l-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
8 H/ |3 B: O& e# |+ ?& ]# {; b-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
) R  |1 [# O& P7 k-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
/ B) y) n  E7 X& M) ~( U-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

# |% Y3 {+ E1 u9 ~' X-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
