Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:
j( F, ] t5 V0 W6 ] After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.
/ c/ X3 t5 l! L" i* RIt is a cycle.

We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.

& T8 `% U* r& i8 l4 DThe problem should be inside the bucket. q$ q& Z6 v, w4 ]9 {, b

When the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.% ]5 ] P4 f; L, k& Q
Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.2 N; |7 p/ \0 a) g0 b# A: L
Confirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.# s$ j5 v/ O5 M2 O( P ?) a; k
' I, s g3 b+ U/ GThe next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.: D; ~$ N) ~5 h/ ?3 k( x: Y" R
They have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.
+ ^7 ?4 u- m4 J! e1 T$ Z0 i. B8 O It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working.
