1 W6 ?* ]2 a2 f) x; |" dTwo cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:
% M, z& k# k$ ]$ P After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.

! g# a- g. ?3 T4 H% UWe isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.
. c; k% |; J% h9 Z! gSwap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.0 J% P+ h; p9 m2 H1 Q& F& S% P# s
The problem should be inside the bucket.( ^: j0 u# l: R6 k8 J1 w3 i
# X' U& X+ \1 _9 H
When the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.( I5 r# b5 P7 {2 T& ^7 U" L
Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.8 Q' H: o0 ^! F* _; G
Confirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.( \" F `0 A8 M" r- D& V
1 k8 H% a$ I S1 U( j MThe next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.1 Z$ o) a& \9 K
They have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.
7 J4 A, o3 P ^# j7 z It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working. ; y$ B$ O: H6 P
4 s& @/ M. l# Y" s0 xThe coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them.
