The minimum time to pass the three level exams is of course three years as CFA institute only offer exam almost once a year. But you have to finish the level iii exam within 7 years, otherwise, they delete your record, and you have to restart from level i again. many people simply pass level i or ii, and use that as a stepping stone on their resume. once they get a job offer, they may not pursue the program any more.

No matter what is your background (quantitative background including engineering/math/CS could be an advantage), get an MBA + CFA + good english, you may be a portfolio manager someday. But this needs really really hard work. Best wishes! P x7 g/ J: n, F" A
