CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.! o) j* z5 z; j) e* q; |" B( n6 S

The energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.( F7 _, V6 r& n) A( z# e R

Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.
