1 Q4 o9 K8 i/ c6 f, D7 L( gAssists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
Works co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
Maintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
' q! [5 O4 Q- j# I0 a6 qMaintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
* `: h, }2 D! o) t- dIs knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
0 b. `; ?' P! N2 z  {/ x* p# [Participates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
2 x- S. ~: Z1 o; P0 JQualifications
Must have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
' ~! o: d$ p7 ^3 xMust be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
+ y. c* v7 ?) E) b4 {; o$ H& aComputer skills an asset.
An energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
3 }! W0 t' F7 ^* u- }" s  ], WProficiency in a second language is an asset.
