Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.
Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

Responsibilities:
-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
0 N$ f' m7 Z1 U-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
3 K8 {2 L9 Q5 H-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

* h0 ?! l. D$ bKey Qualifications:
$ i/ h+ M" W* D6 W. i# g" m$ O-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
3 w: Y0 l$ g6 }. J; R-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
; n" J2 A1 |- R4 G5 |7 {-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
3 _- m, i3 S& }( w; t-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
' W' ~& A6 G: a3 o9 O  }-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
' N" h, q1 a- U' m) m0 T-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
, s5 Y% I6 \+ Q  g5 L7 `6 j-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
* e  `" ]7 R) r8 h-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required

Other: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a police security check and child welfare check at their own expense.
