! C9 x2 z, s! B" G; @. O. E- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth4 v: g& X* n4 K) O) Y z! K
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
; M& N P% w+ v& w9 C( K2 F- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
. D, \! x! M; u( Z: Y- {- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
" X7 ~! V$ ]$ J3 F* b3 V- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
# p9 e$ B$ } W& [- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
$ A# _. B z3 I! _$ [4 s- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement( ^0 v( T4 K2 S& o0 L& \# a5 \
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others# |: [7 P" B0 P0 ~
- Experience doing program development4 {( G( d) p/ z/ ^$ ~
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
' Q# R8 @ U0 b6 c9 Z$ q- Self-directed and able to take initiative! a. h6 }' g2 t# p4 }4 P
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset) H+ F& _+ s4 {6 m. ]& ~
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license8 P( g% u! @ ^; P- Y' t

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation6 p. a3 i( j8 H
- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities

- Skills in marketing & promotions
