Responsibilities:
  a+ h# k" q8 V2 @1 q# U! D-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
2 E( r& n* w6 Q-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
* w5 q7 o2 \/ Y5 m-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

# j3 Z/ K& b3 i+ C0 H; Y+ \
( f5 e+ ~" ^8 Z, t3 |Key Qualifications:
/ |1 ~2 S! u% D. Q5 p-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
; \1 w6 O/ P( M# [-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
. h7 x; N% C) P" E. b% p, L% U6 w% e-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license


Assets:
-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
8 Z; S$ U3 `* d" U) J. w6 L-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
/ v- k# l& M0 \7 a/ d' y-        Skills in marketing & promotions

Other: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a police security check and child welfare check at their own expense.
