Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).

Responsibilities:
/ \% q' F6 Y, y" L7 n: R$ W( a-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
7 b0 A& ?: i7 O- i% J& N-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
6 _1 l. k4 J' p5 K; b+ s9 i-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
  N3 d! k6 i: Q  t-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
- I" A3 F& d$ C4 y5 _/ ]4 a-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
$ B) n3 C& b7 V2 Q' ?" W8 W- E: _-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license


) K2 R  R: I) \+ P7 K; [, k+ Q% rAssets:
-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
' @  D3 }( r% f8 P4 G* t-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
