influenza virus is contagious and is spread person to person via close
( {6 A1 m. o) u- P) hcontact. The virus also rests on hard surfaces such as counters and
- _' D, O: C8 Adoorknobs and can spread when people touch contaminated surfaces and
% ^8 C& H* u: j7 Cthen unknowingly transfer the virus to their eyes, nose or mouth.- j* ?9 {5 _6 K% O( q- j! ^3 K1 k
Practicing good preventive hygiene (e.g., wash your hands and cover your5 n9 n$ E9 |: X0 s: i+ `% h G
cough) and following the self-care practices as outlined by Alberta
