(i.e., a doctor's note) is not required for student absences due to

influenza virus is contagious and is spread person to person via close
1 E8 g: S" t% f. g% mcontact. The virus also rests on hard surfaces such as counters and2 W6 Y5 ?/ T7 O' U% r- y1 B
doorknobs and can spread when people touch contaminated surfaces and5 B- K8 u& ]; O/ m9 ?9 K9 g$ J
then unknowingly transfer the virus to their eyes, nose or mouth.
Q6 z' z& c6 v8 I; f' \3 tPracticing good preventive hygiene (e.g., wash your hands and cover your R2 o3 o' C+ ~6 J; W
cough) and following the self-care practices as outlined by Alberta+ ?# E5 b0 M# g2 V# v
