8 ]$ T# w: z% T8 f5 z& DTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:

/ b* h" v; W% k' G/ ?! J+ Y% QThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
2 v$ S) W6 U" O- f& y* iEligibility Criteria' N/ |+ |+ b" Z
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
' R6 c4 T5 r2 x6 @% C+ W1 i•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less- ]" e. `& t/ W6 e2 u0 K: Y. T4 f
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
, ~$ F. x. W! J8 V1 t•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
* I; c5 c8 f m+ a•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
: R. ~; {' ^$ A. S1 a' u/ S: h•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
8 U; i# d8 F5 P a/ \•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less& W/ M+ d: E0 Z7 i8 C9 d% N, X
•Be eligible to work in Canada+ a/ w- [. U, L% [+ f4 o' P, B
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop4 @7 a! D+ k" s/ P4 z
•Lack access to professional networks- Z1 X! R- h% K$ i8 {" U* L
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
+ n5 Y+ u% T' e( e* |, X& YTime Commitment; `0 V' e* A, d* u+ I
The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months. This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
