THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
% a7 Q; m7 U1 X/ y2 \3 u- e" g24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
4 w7 U1 t2 O9 @% ?, k+ z2 ^( bEligibility Criteria
9 @5 c, ~& z4 K$ |+ \3 D9 t, h  {3 EAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
5 L( X2 c! h2 v•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
  U3 F! F, F% p( g•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less

•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

; P6 d) M1 W2 p! K* IThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
