5 `  _! x! }/ k) Z7 f' fTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
% p, C* D1 ]9 M- N9 V! ]* d2 dEligibility Criteria
$ j1 E* ?+ i. |+ f' E: b+ EAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
* L: x1 z( N7 R7 E: N•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
9 ^9 w! ~' b; B9 f: t•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
* N& c9 d0 }7 S) N•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
% \/ U3 \& n7 k# n•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

! P5 q" E7 \" @, ~& P; ~4 L" \The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
