Change for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.

2 C8 q) `% w, A- F8 i, U. cCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions/ Q3 V1 n- }6 E3 `/ x: F

; P2 C7 S) j* @3 p0 Q' t* R• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.+ i1 [" c2 }/ j, D

' i7 L9 @/ e- R8 m• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

5 x4 j0 e8 U4 F) cSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.; B; c8 K5 g7 i' g% m
