* N" S8 `# |% V. h+ BCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.3 O/ c+ W/ L/ |; d

Key administrative duties:

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.! O% [7 ?) o6 T; f" F4 y0 d, `+ F( O
2 Q) K6 ^( K% j• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.) X3 g: p8 Z. s$ s8 Q$ K

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.6 I, J( o! S. E
+ f; q0 O+ S$ [% n$ f, O- D• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.' ?6 E+ k$ z# @& a

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions9 }* i9 _" a" z8 t2 |5 c
N+ {- p& Q/ l6 z1 g G• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.! C' d" b( v) `1 I1 s

6 ~5 I* |) G3 Y1 OSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
