Police arrest two men after complaint of smelly truck carrying 1,500 pot plants

Police say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.% j* N* w0 f7 I$ i# h% H6 l
7 j( h( q- V7 N5 K8 X; VOfficers who responded to the call said they also smelled the pot plants about half a block before they pulled over the van.* r/ [2 u6 G3 r

Police say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van.$ [- o0 B+ `+ ~( O/ Z! r- G" l) d; {
- Q; i7 {4 Q/ p* g2 b, Z6 bRoughly 400 kilograms of pot was taken from the vehicle and the driver and a passenger were arrested without incident.
