Duties: Special Events
$ R. c# V6 J4 Y" dPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events: ! Y# p+ G' Q7 t' j! U- J
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee 2 |5 x: q$ G) K% I6 b8 h
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist . B1 w* O* ?% `1 }% m0 \' E
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
" y* U# j% G$ w2 C/ cadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
" s3 R& b/ c0 T0 U; f: k A" V$ zset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
]4 U' m. W9 M7 R$ Z0 v& @: R2 pAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
8 q" x; I& M1 X. o( b' V: |( F3 W· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions 0 ^8 n: `. s1 ?1 E/ H/ [* `+ U
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers + Y: E1 M# F- i& v- U- R" u- H
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers ' t, D2 \+ Y( D, `+ }3 _
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers

Qualifications:
/ z8 V) I6 Y, \· Completion of 12th: c; {/ H$ g+ `+ U o! {- S
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation 1 y) C4 ?1 B* z- d7 g6 N& H. g/ B$ N
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. 4 M) e/ N, S2 R
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
9 ?& I- f1 h$ k* j, Kexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events / D8 S4 W! c5 C" H2 H
· Experience working with and managing volunteers

$ z1 ]& G! |* R' r0 K+ ^" C· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events

· Security Clearance
