* a8 m3 {0 m8 o r% KEvents and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

Duties: Special Events
% D$ u3 F5 @" k" c5 B( m4 O+ YPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
6 t0 H2 K: \6 E4 V) I5 Y3 @· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee ) h* K: S: }" U5 i
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist 0 R/ V" A- v, m7 p Y. w# D _
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
( K7 a8 g! @& u& q; U( Q* W+ T" ]advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
, ~% x" U* M6 [% W, N( x3 W- Wset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

. R; H# C& G( \0 t$ ]! I· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
' v- a0 ?$ f$ l6 i8 m# z, rAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
: L3 N7 V0 e, Y. Y9 {· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
2 [+ D6 w# n. U" z* b$ I; p· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers ) S7 r- r# B/ j0 J5 _
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
" h/ E8 t0 i0 a7 c' I· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
4 @3 @4 b* `, O: I' i: p, m$ `· Complete program administration, statistics and records

Qualifications:
7 [( e- L. t3 Z0 X$ c+ D, `6 j· Completion of 12th) G6 e+ B8 z$ G0 O$ q
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation % F( t2 @5 x3 X/ V* B8 n
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
( X' i! O! k5 G1 f8 D· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
4 z7 }% b$ D6 u3 @# P' J Zexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events $ j1 u( m U2 C
· Experience working with and managing volunteers 2 P1 I! F3 L3 [
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors : E2 T! }* f# x0 ]: ]; o) O
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events ( C( X+ N, b9 K1 f
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training ' r6 [/ z! ?5 o
· Security Clearance 6 G% z3 v; _# z2 w( N5 A7 L( a) w
