Duties: Special Events ' B7 [9 \$ ~( p( K4 N5 c, u
Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
" Y6 M8 [2 J* T0 D5 k D· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
* [. ?! k& t# U3 ~7 }" M- X· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist 5 }( ?$ z: l2 D$ r
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
3 g9 D0 R) w6 Cadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
* T* R7 {0 W% D! \! m' E0 a7 Rset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. " f1 H0 L8 J5 T9 r5 J
· Attend and manage Special Events

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
* @+ Y, I* b* W2 ~: oAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
8 X' O7 c2 s4 c. x! i$ Z Q- k· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions / F! d! j7 E* L0 A
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
7 B' D1 j. E. d5 l4 l0 q. Q· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers - t5 z: E; A) t- r- N2 B8 r
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers : o; m, W8 L- l7 v6 P c3 }
· Complete program administration, statistics and records & k7 S) J9 w7 n# B9 O

Qualifications:
; `: ]1 B/ w. O$ e z· Completion of 12th* q2 Z; P' Z l2 i
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
* ^# c- G! a0 k% R% ?* mAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. & b. `4 ^% y H! s
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
2 j# B9 ?3 V6 \7 uexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events / y$ l$ A8 n( J0 Z) q# `
· Experience working with and managing volunteers
" A7 x+ Z5 `# r& m+ U· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors + C* [- p9 i* w: k9 H* I
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events ) h/ m7 W9 n- U* @& g
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
