Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

' U+ R9 c: d& E3 O3 U p/ t· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee 4 h0 ~; \* T8 k! Z. A' \5 l8 b
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist ; d% X( P' P4 T7 y
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the ( W, ^7 v4 Y% J
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure $ D; U" O a( D2 _
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. # R( W0 W1 E. a/ y
· Attend and manage Special Events

Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: ( o# i% S k! T r) R0 |
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions 5 Z4 p- Z5 H5 J- f0 o
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers * A6 l% {+ g4 K, j) b
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
' R- L% |, x0 |· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
% } S g2 l* T3 L6 F· Complete program administration, statistics and records

Qualifications:
2 Y6 |( k r6 }3 Z8 {· Completion of 12th
! d9 x" l+ R5 c1 f# o- \& ? Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
( O, _2 l A' x+ m) XAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. 6 K% O' b( c* H* ~3 Z F
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
$ Z, G7 l; ]7 k; U; `0 xexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events ' I g5 @. R5 _2 n f6 W# L
· Experience working with and managing volunteers ( K2 m5 G6 h5 ^ o9 A
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors

· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training 1 b( {9 g' ~2 n

Wages: $16 - $20/hour depending on qualifications
