Integrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential
& a7 l' \( \+ S1 e W3 ]3 J/ Wskills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded
D9 {" M# B- u$ U1 w) uprogram combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work
* s" I9 o0 h. pexperience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as9 U- |! F" O2 w7 e' g+ ~
warehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food: Q. s# d1 D& X3 w* g* J( T
services and others.6 }7 y3 _$ Q7 @4 ]# f+ J' ~! ?* F; D }

Candidate Profile:& J: N% _, C0 c" ?( \

Candidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian
& I5 D5 x9 q$ {, S& L2 X* p) W" ccitizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:$ t# I2 Z( X* Z
* English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB1 G0 _, R0 l+ k0 {; l8 ^
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-
' D- I' g7 h( I( g, n. ksecondary education$ Q) x k. H$ s( e" \% v
* A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand
9 d9 Q5 m, u. ~% a6 K* f8 uoccupation' V5 W6 z- u8 I2 y! ?$ R
* Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed @5 R8 J' k( J" y* X1 n5 C' S
* Willingness to commit to a program and future job

* Get First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certificates
