Receptionist

The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors

! H) Q$ X; s- d# c3 s K• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries
1 X# Q# w; N' M8 C8 u g• Arrange courier services for all departments
, Y7 R+ S+ k& x# v9 Y% }• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail" a6 ?0 k: M! s/ W
• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries
|) r1 U0 R$ \• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency
" `! H2 L! V0 t* E C• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration
; [% U8 m2 z* @& p• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers + U# E8 b0 u! b2 D# H, L& [
• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution
( J& D5 O( k; b% f$ H• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments

Registrar
! z C9 |4 _4 y6 O. K• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training

• Assist YoWoChAs Outdoor Education Registration as required6 p/ r2 X& k9 @

Qualifications:

5 U7 ^! d R) Z6 N) s* U' r• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures! S" I9 Q, {; W- u- a( A5 {/ T$ L
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.: N4 q3 W$ Q( u$ ?; Y
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset
