7 u. j+ b; I% Y; b2 ^Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff

Key Responsibilities Include:0 J9 O, H" V' I9 v, H2 j
Activity Planning and Daily Activity5 Z, F( X1 d0 T+ T
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.( l: B4 s0 k! C3 `
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
: r6 D( A; y7 }% D) f: K) @• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
! O" i9 s5 R) c5 {8 M5 P) A• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
& l) o# Q) T0 D# ~- i1 v- N9 T• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.7 _: Z/ F8 t1 t5 q
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

# }1 @) Y* m. Q5 y) C• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting7 Z$ i0 C9 Q# P: c: {
• Experience with children
! T0 @, D: h W8 X! D) |, J0 \• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
$ m N3 }1 Z/ L• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
+ F9 P9 l. \( {6 }: a3 ]• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
% a4 b" r" X& Y- d' @8 ]: q• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
% J$ N n! [- h+ T% s; H$ e4 u! l• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check 7 r5 y7 m! _2 p" L
• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
