(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)- S# s( ?! }" y5 i
& ?8 i; G# Y% cKey Responsibilities Include:
! {- X) n5 q, W9 n, j; IActivity Planning and Daily Activity
0 b/ T% G; [' \2 ]2 H, [6 p• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
1 X! v% S& u1 A5 O: V# ]• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. - }! {4 T! N' O
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
7 T, c$ V; _( H# ]• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
* g9 H! I5 j4 w4 Y# x$ u0 Z7 L• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
7 T) C8 r$ I. ~7 V• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.' G) _, t0 }1 L# f1 ]# k
' @" @% e6 ]- V9 a' bThe successful candidate will have:
0 f, H) Q+ K* B* O4 ?• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
* i2 B) l* ]& d% H& u• Experience with children
' o% \' u5 [1 O/ h• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth - D* h g7 K3 Y8 D$ U
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
4 s+ M( c# X. |, U# D/ n• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
2 [3 n( S7 X8 _7 `5 q• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources# b$ q8 i8 Y7 _( I
• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check / k* r9 ~' v1 Z7 e
• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check 8 f) ~( Q+ B/ x5 D
