Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff. 3 h& |5 y% l" n1 r7 F

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
* | y) A2 ~' Q& j3 |- l+ P% k: _(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

- g0 M4 r( }6 BKey Responsibilities Include
% m, c9 K/ y' G. z8 q6 t6 GActivity Planning and Daily Activity
6 ?' _: B5 Q! i: ^9 `• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
C/ m0 z, ]+ H6 V• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
9 @. ^% x. v1 j• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
( I6 A0 s0 j, Y8 ?% n• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
4 S4 `( _. }; S% G3 f; m• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
0 _) d- r! B V/ \4 V" Q x• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

& i* I8 ^& ~& r0 l• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting% x& H) M1 w/ f2 o" v7 @8 V" O
• Experience with children1 }6 N/ y# b" _9 v
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth + [" O, h( h7 ?
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
- F& J4 S) @/ ~2 a: O• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.6 O- f4 }- s1 u
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources

• A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
