Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

" c( y" `* K1 k, L- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
) ^$ i3 v, o# `7 t! [' ]& g- Provide orientation for parents
0 f% p- c) v9 p9 o- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

9 L8 L+ B- J0 }1 a" E. n/ \Qualifications:

- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
* |* n  K  Y7 v, D% c( `- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
+ l2 w  A/ s! C) D) J: h& M- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
) r' p2 ~- S3 O$ J$ Z- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Other

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
