summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to o+ \- n8 `+ u+ }( K0 O
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern , `) J, J) c: V; P5 G0 h9 ]. R

9 k0 C ]1 l1 Y( f: s9 F) H. H/ kFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
/ ~5 D! {( S" ]+ C+ c7 q. Hemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
( ^4 F9 I# E7 p/ E) qand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 4 b" u# X1 _" T- m" `; B- F( J
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 3 @3 @' k. k" E
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
% x& z) s! x9 }/ Z$ [% YFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
, c9 y0 J9 F" Mwell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
; P/ p) O" k; C; A. x- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
! Y h9 q+ Z; H/ k4 G+ I- Implement a catalogue template for future use
- r! k: O8 N5 @% K- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
! Z v5 F) U! h/ E* ]- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ' J& C2 e% h* ~) `+ u

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts ! S" x- P* M: ~6 [( N

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred ( y+ q, W; A1 A- e$ H0 d z
