- L4 K4 J: _: L' YFAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

artists from Northern Alberta.

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
$ G+ S* \8 P3 v1 |and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 9 G B& d# d* K6 r2 G! P' V: F. d
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and ! ]% ~ B. H p
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 3 x& N' c6 m2 m3 v3 H& N

& x% F3 P) I, k( _! `) ]& [2 PJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive - A% X% r# B$ e. ]0 ^( }" K( f5 X
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by - d- R- J. Y* l! [2 G: W
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. 0 F; H# \6 S0 b+ V2 ] @! F# `
% v. A! a ~" o( @. EDuties: ( U# D% |7 j; _" l: k$ d) T
- Assist with research on acquisition grants ) I7 Z0 s& G9 k# u. L; Q" N
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities 5 V4 u3 \7 z' a9 L) J# `2 H
- Assist with equipment maintenance 7 D- U1 [7 P% u& x/ h
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
: W/ w2 E) e: D9 Y- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff ( E" @" R; d$ V: c( ?+ F
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- Advance organizational and research skills $ G2 _, }1 z. P: ~+ P/ G
- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
