The academic qualification for Professional Engineer is not only just one exam of law & ethics. First, you have to hold a BSc degree in "engineering" Second, you must have at least 4 years real engineering experience which includes at least one year experience in Canada. So you need to find a real engineering job before you can apply.

) b& ^; S9 U+ Y2 j) n9 X) EYou may be requested to pass 1-9 academic tests to comfirm your ability and a Law & Ethics national exam.

Please check website of APEGGA, you will need to buy all materials from them for exams.

This seems to me conflicting because many engieer jobs ask for licence, while licence asks for Canadian experience (job). These two thing ask for each other, it is a cycle, wield, isn't it? Is it possible to find an engineer job without licence? If job is first, then I will try job first. Thanks for your very helpful answers.

Actually, you can apply EIT (engineer in training) without local experience. A lot good positions for EIT.

(with EIT, you can use "Engineer (EIT)" as your title legally.)

% t8 u! J9 M) ]. m( @8 P; H8 QI know three friends found first engineer job in canada by refering their china experience then applied for it. Maybe I am assuming it is possible to work as P.E without licence.

7 ?. H5 X* I; f3 Yyou confused P.Eng and licence. P.Eng is a kind of licence to practice engineering, without P.Eng, you still can find a job in engineering, but you cannot stamp the work and must be supervised by a person with P.Eng.
