Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

2 N) l" K7 V' a' F$ R- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
" _  C8 h5 u* M& g- Provide orientation for parents
* T4 ^1 _( Z! h- M& H# Q- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
: D3 c% J+ Y% e- m7 t8 j: F6 W$ q4 k- Prepare final report for funding agency
& R; H# j2 h. l8 T
% \9 {! A4 O; [Qualifications:
! T* P- ~- y& x( `& {
- i& y' n$ e4 P/ g' k/ c- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
0 r+ _6 T2 ~- c) ~5 e0 H- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
& `+ h8 }# I2 r$ }- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
0 c5 K7 r. ~" A% Q- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- T) T9 U  x6 K6 w- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
