Job Description
! x0 J: G* h' d" o+ N/ b! O+ G0 V- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
! C7 m/ K) p/ S8 E- c1 f provide services for Chinese community% {" a/ N: ~5 y8 d8 h
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
) S: t! @! [) C access to mainstream services
+ }0 y7 h6 a% M- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
! b. p2 ~+ M5 N3 v$ B2 r7 V social services" H+ j. Q( f0 k, [
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies* |7 f$ k/ A5 w/ I7 q
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
* K% W* I& e/ q7 d6 [- update ASSIST website' x; h0 x) U, f5 d& I; s. B
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre% s0 o$ O: M# ^9 ]* b
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services) W/ W3 a: X& k2 F
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time7 A5 L7 g/ b f" B, O" r
- update membership database, v0 G4 A B2 f8 p1 B3 r+ c# e% k
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of - x) L$ H6 z+ R' q+ R7 B* G
experience and education
9 P d, ]/ M2 H5 V" P3 Z- good oral and written Chinese and English skills: h7 [+ M9 B5 d' k4 |. J
- experience in community work and immigrant services. E/ W0 u) Q3 H! q$ [7 U
- experience in website update/design$ h3 a: E6 Y1 X9 B `9 V
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
