Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

Responsibilities:: u) j- x& {& b
- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program / v( c9 ~3 U+ V8 p1 v5 L" T
(ages 6 to 15) , y( t& G/ A; i( z+ T" _) ]7 |5 E- l
- Recruit children for summer programs( X' V! @/ ?* Y% t5 f
- Recruit volunteers for summer programs
1 V* w8 o! R6 Y/ F" q0 L/ K7 w% C- Record keeping
! A/ n4 ~9 K" t- Provide orientation for parents
8 e! ?8 j& Y2 y4 k% f2 T( Q- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency

Qualifications:& b6 V* D' J: d- @% I4 |4 }# Y
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
, ?3 j3 K) V$ B+ M2 n, W- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
" Z% S7 ^' v+ ]9 b: Q4 {% e- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
, j2 q. O. D5 C- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities5 v& O9 o* X1 u7 L3 O; V9 k/ G
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese" m n% E+ l# Y. z. a7 ~
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities* A( o7 E) J4 ?' b/ O, g
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Other Information:
$ m# C# B6 g/ t0 G+ H- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) & m7 e8 S4 H3 A) z6 r1 f, Y
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
