4 v) R( ~; C7 E) R$ e * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications

* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
2 \/ Y4 L9 i/ d( M$ O * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
: k2 F0 O* v5 _- I( Y2 k( e" X * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies5 R( q0 O* Q/ ?! w; \, G- w
* Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs0 v* c- u! [6 C% M, _
* Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment! [; E3 o; p2 @* G7 ^& p, [3 T
