* Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
' L8 r1 Y, r) V1 q2 q+ I9 e * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
9 f2 t8 ^8 `. O, b7 P! B * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance9 q/ d, S. _2 D2 T2 l# u
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students

L0 ~( @2 f * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
