1 U4 {8 }/ H2 `& K" n9 W2 ~    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
$ [; _0 ]2 D1 q/ G8 W- u, k    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
5 [# V$ c, r8 f3 W( [2 g    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

Qualifications

3 p5 @4 ~  Q: ^$ S- s' z2 I# }/ o    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

  S) s$ T# L9 W' v, ]( Z7 |2 }本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
) z5 Q1 l, x7 t: ^Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
! X9 x- P" @$ H) A, Q3 U2 ^+ T$ M8 [* h
