* Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
* G& u- ]5 ~3 H, X * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis5 C/ U9 A8 S% C! F( g
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
8 U) j; h+ q7 ^; `0 ]7 } * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students 4 `; H. O# x2 O$ t
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
