1 U4 {8 }/ H2 `& K" n9 W2 ~ * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications" F- N5 I- ]' G1 l8 a, P( b
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
$ [; _0 ]2 D1 q/ G8 W- u, k * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance! Z: ]( a( o8 e& Z5 [
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students * i( `& o* j& P# C- q4 `1 D
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies' g3 \0 B( I( P1 |1 N
* Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs

Qualifications1 }5 b2 e# V3 f- D8 D6 v" F& N

* Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required
