Business Analyst (.Net Application Development)

As a Business Analyst, you will analyze business requirements, conduct impact analyses, and perform design, development, support and documentation activities in a dynamic and multi-application environment. Working under a Team Lead, you will help to develop a long term plan to replace our client's legacy applications. ) \( c% m/ c3 } ]' @- m
As part of this endeavour, you will be responsible for performing the following type of activities:3 }' e" t$ ^* U3 x# B% v; R
Convert business requirements into design specifications and prepare specifications for user sign-off. ) u( k% J, D0 X4 g3 x( w
Create process and data models to visually represent requirements information. ! z% }2 U% h) D- G
Perform system testing with internal and external clients. Provide support during various phases of testing.
4 V+ u0 b+ c4 nAssist with the resolution of code deficiencies found during the assembly test and system test phase.
A7 D9 o9 [7 Q- i$ b, J( uSupport, maintain and upgrade application after it moves into production.
1 v* l3 |# @+ |4 s6 P( mAnalyze current technical and business objectives, plans, processes, information flows, and systems. 8 X- o) j4 W( j# U) W' R
Assist in the identification, assessment and resolution of application problems and recommend modifications. 6 s5 n3 W3 k7 M4 l" {2 g4 f
Summarize and present key findings with recommendations for improvement. 0 f' f1 n7 v. ]) _9 q
Responsible for working with Project manager to set and review overall quality of deliverables.
" V# @6 w+ l# x( i5 d3 | Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development, experience with legacy applications would be an asset
7 f! |. `- G. Z• A university degree in Computer Science, Commerce (MIS), or similar discipline is preferred, but an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.; c0 E6 K( K& o# @7 H. X3 D3 l
• Experience with Web Applications, VB.net, C# and/or .NET technologies an asset.9 E% x( B+ L( Z& Q: s
• Understanding of Object Oriented design principles and the .Net Framework.4 |& Z |2 s7 Y7 y1 ^+ `3 j
• Exceptional consultation skills are critical, with the ability to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute within a team environment.
