As a Business Analyst, you will analyze business requirements, conduct impact analyses, and perform design, development, support and documentation activities in a dynamic and multi-application environment. Working under a Team Lead, you will help to develop a long term plan to replace our client's legacy applications.
$ u, K9 e7 j9 O( } _& rAs part of this endeavour, you will be responsible for performing the following type of activities:% f% O/ l7 _ K: E: c
Convert business requirements into design specifications and prepare specifications for user sign-off.
1 Q, r' e3 A1 _1 [1 P. eCreate process and data models to visually represent requirements information.
' z) J; `- e8 c+ X& c' dPerform system testing with internal and external clients. Provide support during various phases of testing. 8 a2 T/ ]5 F7 ?' _5 J: ~
Assist with the resolution of code deficiencies found during the assembly test and system test phase. # [$ L; s4 V- b7 a9 I' r
Support, maintain and upgrade application after it moves into production.
1 `$ q# p( M$ @5 F' J( w/ UAnalyze current technical and business objectives, plans, processes, information flows, and systems.
( Y3 s1 c) x Z3 Z3 i- |9 DAssist in the identification, assessment and resolution of application problems and recommend modifications. ' R' q/ x0 T6 I @3 j
Summarize and present key findings with recommendations for improvement.
. V& e2 y' H- g& y) X9 KResponsible for working with Project manager to set and review overall quality of deliverables.
3 w6 k" C; M. l2 F Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development, experience with legacy applications would be an asset* f. L& q: N/ T* X+ ^/ l) b
• A university degree in Computer Science, Commerce (MIS), or similar discipline is preferred, but an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. U0 H$ k2 E; ?0 x4 d% _& I
• Experience with Web Applications, VB.net, C# and/or .NET technologies an asset.) Z0 ~5 w1 [4 o5 N ^! Z, C; R
• Understanding of Object Oriented design principles and the .Net Framework.
& N, \- G1 X& h" }% r* \• Exceptional consultation skills are critical, with the ability to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute within a team environment.5 g7 [% |. R) Z" `
