If you dont care if it's purebred or not, you can adopt one from SPCA, Petcetera, or Petsmart, where they have new-born or very young puppies occasionally, and adult dogs anytime. Adoption fee will be around $200 including the spay/neuter surgery fee and the vaccination. This is the most economic way and helpful for those poor animals.

The price will be of just a little bit different or even the same. You are still a student now, and have you thought about it when you are busy studying, taking exams, graduating, looking for jobs, moving to new locations, being married, having children, ......?
