Job Description

9 V, h+ x6 ?/ FFull time position (35 hours each week)

Job Description – Responsibilities
•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
6 e/ h! k+ }: t•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
0 e7 |, ]7 B0 L% S4 ?•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
& n4 w( c- t# r$ L•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
6 N) o; c% \+ w# z) R•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
2 K! x+ ?/ L4 U+ x9 f8 l! i' o•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
4 l/ h, ?" q  i+ l•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
' n: m% h7 `1 M+ b" s6 ?0 ?, C•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

Qualifications
( r6 k: |! C3 _: k) ]+ O•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
- h7 i* @: k4 L& B3 j8 N# H1 H•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
. B% c' ?& r7 }) X9 v0 w•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
