Job Description

Full time position (35 hours each week)

9 r, x( V/ t0 bJob Description – Responsibilities
•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
7 @+ g9 b% F. z6 ]! Z! M+ N•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
3 b  i6 Z6 M  ~, c" m0 Y# r* S•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
" B! E) C& ?. a5 x4 ]5 ]9 V•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
9 d4 x& p% ?0 c3 |& [1 [) M•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

) j0 X- N+ |, a0 mQualifications
•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
; T8 G5 k8 N6 k4 j1 n" i  f4 t+ Q•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
