Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to:        National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities:
" d  w: b1 D% I9 X. v" Q! r7 U•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.  l3 S0 ^( o$ Q
•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
* {$ h% L4 z; ]! ]2 u•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  
0 h& F7 U- V; O  Y: T2 x3 [•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.. y) h# t* S  V2 t" k5 t, P
•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
) Z$ w0 J' b2 H0 W% `•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
) J) h' v6 y. T1 M0 M/ q•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
9 f! |4 F- {0 N6 L•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
% B3 w& x- ]' B, Q•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.. V1 o$ @2 S# Y
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
  s& Y2 v. z9 h& I' [1 E•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
- `. d# c7 L/ c7 R6 |. L•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.! F; l" k$ M, n+ X
•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required./ E  z; n6 ]' G" @' B. \. Y
•        Other duties as assigned by supervisor.  B9 l5 c8 r8 {) y9 ~

Qualifications:
. X7 u9 D3 A, q  J  q$ N: Q0 w3 Q* f•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. # G! W" t3 \* q% u/ q
•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
/ G" S% \# ~% _% Q+ l9 ?4 N; k: Q•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. & E  I. Z% c' S+ e+ y% _/ q0 L
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude. * M  C& t2 S3 A; @
•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential2 d# `4 \3 x$ S8 Z5 t
•        Not scared of heights* V  A; o/ c4 }+ V0 s2 ]
•        Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
