/ w" k' P7 v% H3 h6 q+ P! O+ ?0 X1 t * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
& ^1 k( t. _ m+ U V7 _; C$ o * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities' F6 Q, X* C! }: Y) x1 d6 D
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes9 m; C3 o4 @, c6 N
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
& q% A& W5 V' c5 Y3 E) G2 v * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
3 C0 o: ~, c* \* {6 w * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements0 N! }. }. G, ~, o7 [2 t7 c
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
& a) h" f a# \+ o2 A8 S * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director! m1 E4 q* y* B [& ]
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning# E5 j, ^, m. P/ y3 `) r+ _! @
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
# R9 z* O" U6 D9 u * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications
7 D+ u! g. Q* A* ?
% _* r/ ~3 h3 H0 l6 A6 y * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
/ {( d3 ^4 r$ w; K * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
, V$ o9 ]1 p5 @/ i- ~& G3 _ * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset* p- ]3 f7 `8 Y. M" e' A/ [
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
' I3 v E. m' Z. V5 K6 b * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills& B" F# E s2 G
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
