; ^& U: y# A& m8 H9 I+ N4 T * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
# D5 _4 n$ n; y; x* a4 e * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities! V0 h2 W8 ~! k- @6 {% _9 u
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes8 ]- X% {( \8 G) V' N! V
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat9 h/ O2 B5 b* q1 I
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders

* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs0 `+ K9 ? G: m- {' I9 |
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director! Y1 z2 X+ @) C) s3 D
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
: Y6 U3 y& P$ c- r * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies, m# ?3 m |. j \- [

Qualifications: r9 ?% ~6 w3 C4 m& H( L( l

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
& V/ I( _- _' J0 q# A7 x. t * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
# }5 y) e7 }9 H; U5 t * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset: r( ^' Y& `2 H6 `- ~% S+ q6 e
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
7 i2 [2 j0 s, y4 g5 A. x * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills! ~+ b: c& r% H9 H, z
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning2 Z0 ^3 d- ^5 l' Y1 B
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation), g9 ^3 c7 A/ z! t% g0 \
