7 U/ R8 \  V1 P% v* F3 f    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
. L& I  e# y' s1 f% F2 A! J    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
0 l9 O. {8 {% R3 r) [8 A% k    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
: x' R8 t2 A! y: ^* D1 y    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
3 z/ |! D8 u0 L    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
$ \7 u3 E  O2 b4 E  o    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
    * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
- E0 y: d/ f* P, T    * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning
6 E# S. d, P5 n0 D0 ^# d    * Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
    * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

3 a; V2 q# u7 L" _2 S
( k9 o4 B4 k$ d6 H& M  n    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
2 m- g1 u9 j* ~: l4 y    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
    * Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
