* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program! {8 w( P; ]" A% p( x
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities' y% _) [$ t1 [% u
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes; I8 u/ J8 `/ a. u7 p
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat, `0 ?+ C! f4 r j6 E6 }. [: Z
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders, m% K, k# y, _& _% ~% r0 o
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
3 p; V7 a) T1 m. G7 ? * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs

* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications
0 W1 m2 d" R, ]1 l+ F% [$ o) u# `
* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred: w* I; j0 p% w P! ?2 N2 [
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
/ v" C5 S- J( a/ ~0 r, f9 S * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset! }' B8 I! v5 R2 B( e# J$ E, d
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
, I! I/ K. R l9 x) T$ u& O * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills/ o4 ?% l l$ L& }
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
" |9 o( b7 P1 @) V1 K! S0 @ * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
