2:16 耶和华神吩咐他说,园中各样树上的果子,你可以随意吃。
/ q* e- W. ]/ [And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: , b6 N! {: ]5 ]1 A q' L
2:17 只是分别善恶树上的果子,你不可吃,因为你吃的日子必定死。
/ `' [8 j* r+ J9 `; n. iBut of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die5 y7 l- h4 _8 ~6 u: u

3:14 耶和华神对蛇说,你既作了这事,就必受咒诅,比一切的牲畜野兽更甚。你必用肚子行走,终身吃土。
, v1 ?. i0 W$ r5 L: KAnd the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: & w" p w1 l$ q. L8 J- v G
3:15 我又要叫你和女人彼此为仇。你的后裔和女人的后裔也彼此为仇。女人的后裔要伤你的头,你要伤他的脚跟。
) [( M0 D# ]) g0 ?% M, TAnd I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. + Y! ^! C( k. N5 |# v
3:16 又对女人说,我必多多加增你怀胎的苦楚,你生产儿女必多受苦楚。你必恋慕你丈夫,你丈夫必管辖你。6 D. f1 `. Y7 O. {
Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
. `) b0 d" h/ [5 J5 ?0 k/ F% K3:17 又对亚当说,你既听从妻子的话,吃了我所吩咐你不可吃的那树上的果子,地必为你的缘故受咒诅。你必终身劳苦,才能从地里得吃的。9 i5 p$ `1 l' r/ g) {/ M* d$ _
And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 5 Q6 V( k6 D8 Q) a1 H: j
3:18 地必给你长出荆棘和蒺藜来,你也要吃田间的菜蔬。7 [# M, n4 } Y, ^+ U9 X4 J
Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; 1 L6 k$ k8 [2 P+ `* K
3:19 你必汗流满面才得糊口,直到你归了土,因为你是从土而出的。你本是尘土,仍要归于尘土。
& A% k9 t: { VIn the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. $ x3 g7 H2 x$ Y
3:20 亚当给他妻子起名叫夏娃,因为她是众生之母。

3:21 耶和华神为亚当和他妻子用皮子作衣服给他们穿。
4 `4 J0 a: F6 h5 r }+ g. I8 S, Q qUnto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. * o& G' x. S. x2 M. y5 C
3:22 耶和华神说,那人已经与我们相似,能知道善恶。现在恐怕他伸手又摘生命树的果子吃,就永远活着。
1 D8 b8 R% p3 B6 ?1 \0 B& TAnd the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: ' G/ h a# f Y: ^
3:23 耶和华神便打发他出伊甸园去,耕种他所自出之土。
/ w+ w8 O, W& h* k$ H% k7 p, KTherefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
( O% \4 l7 h7 R9 \3:24 于是把他赶出去了。又在伊甸园的东边安设基路伯和四面转动发火焰的剑,要把守生命树的道路。# R/ Y% y/ W: F% @8 k% e$ q
So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. |
