Position: Program Coordinator, New Neighbours Program / Salary & Benefits: As per AUPE agreement / Status: Regular Part-time, 21-28 hours per week. Context: Edmonton Immigrant Services Association is a nonprofit immigrant serving agency. The New Neighbours Program provides services aimed at facilitating the settlement/integration of newcomers into Canadian society. ; q: b K6 R1 d, n1 ^1 E
2 U/ d8 u% s( `& y3 ^( h% VKey responsibilities: overseeing the day-to-day activities/operations of the program; recruitment, training & supervision of volunteers for the program; recruitment/orientation of participants; matching newcomers with community volunteers & monitoring the matches; planning other program activities; maintain computer dBase record of services/activities.: I4 v n. Y" b* s
& W9 Q8 M/ p" L0 i/ a# N# xPLUS: act as a resource person; fulfill program accountability requirements; collaborate, network with other organizations /professionals liaison with ethno-cultural & immigrant community organizations; represent EISA at meetings and functions related to the program.

A% `: Q: d$ @6 Q9 K4 a4 |Key Qualifications - Degree or Diploma in social work, social sciences or related areas. > Special requirements include: 2-3 years experience in program coordination; excellent interpersonal/communication skills, cultural sensitivity; knowledge & experience in volunteer management; good knowledge of available community resources/services.

PLUS: demonstrated computer skills in MS Excel, Access, internet & dBase management programs; experience working with immigrant families and/or settlement services, community development or non-profit org. an asset. / x5 s' R8 X" ^( d2 G2 o7 M4 ]
