Edmonton's newest Festival to Celebrate Arts and Aging will be held in Edmonton from June 2 - 8, 2008.  

& Q% \. l; O6 [% c8 G$ bThe purpose of the festival is to celebrate and recognize senior artists, encourage more older adults (55 yrs+) to get involved in the arts, and increase the number of seniors' art opportunities in Edmonton.

+ a' @  L; E" _4 z7 `5 \7 @9:30 am -  12 noon              Festival Launch Event at City Hall (with performers, displays, keynote speakers Susan Perlstein, roving performers/ entertainers and                            official launch greeting from Mayor Mandel
+ s/ O2 G' u3 |" ^4 q' a. ^1 - 4                   Free Art Workshops (pre-registration required)
1 - 4 pm                        Open Stage Performances by senior artists (at SAGE and Axis Café)
7 - 9 pm                        Arts and Aging Films (at Stanley Milner Library)

Tuesday June 3

U( L1 ]8:30 am - 5 pm          Celebration of Creative Aging Symposium (at Telus Centre- U of A) with keynote speaker Susan Perlstein and numerous breakout                                    sessions.  This symposium is free, you must pre-register and is especially appropriate for anyone involved in planning programs for                             seniors.
