Works within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele
% l) F! P) m* y5 Q( d; F! YResponsible for specialization in workstation image management
8 ~; M0 i; P! K# R' jResponsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers
Provides help desk and on-call (after hours) support
! B6 [5 C+ ~1 s6 KWorks within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff
  o3 C* l6 x7 c% ZEdits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System
, a8 i; r) A9 H1 L4 d; W7 D" n5 a% RDevelops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP
Develops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS
Designs, develops and implements MySQL relational databases
Qualifications
1 ^, M' ~0 c' m- ]Two year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program
Recent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
0 Q) _, _' y8 h" m% u5 E" qMinimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations
. ~" t' {% T+ G0 f7 I3 d; AExperience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL)
Strong analytical, diagnostic, written and oral communication skills
