Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
" b9 K! A6 f2 |" d u- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker _/ j2 h: A9 G9 h7 `% \
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:

- customer service and office clerical experiences8 O# J; T) h4 L
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

9 E. O2 g+ Q& ~$ N- O- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
0 `! h; l8 L4 c; N4 j3 N9 p6 K- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
( }. S; o: m) J2 U' y: d- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
) z1 `6 u7 U& _& |. x6 ~6 t- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
) A+ E& s: D' N; w" ?# u1 F. C- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
9 a0 h- k# ~8 `; k2 F& s, C6 n' G- update ASSIST website
5 O5 ?5 u" @* n- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
/ n7 ~. ~5 L& J; O, J1 F- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
$ B/ A( j5 y( ^0 C% C- assist in writing proposal for ISP0 I! z, \1 _1 h7 q; r( s
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
& _" S( g/ t, m/ o9 B( t4 J- Z% u- hold regular meetings with ISP team" Q" @4 r4 R7 R/ q6 D7 p9 M5 G
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time, ^( z( r+ u$ m. v
- update membership database
+ Q- V; ?2 Q6 s* I- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required). G8 Y* n- ?+ ^( p g# P

Qualifications5 ~2 c2 @( Z- I: K! O
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education 9 x/ g: u( f; X- ~0 F, T9 l# a/ j
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills+ _, T; L( q! O ?" ]' ^; Z
- experience in community work and immigrant services
) W1 p$ p; {7 C# k% r; S- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset4 C0 o5 w' S8 {4 A2 b, m! ^
