Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

(Full time: 35 hours per week)

3 \( }" \; ^# y' ^6 M0 g- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.- Y a$ J `6 }" F% Z4 `
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker2 S0 i4 ?# u/ `4 g5 f
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

6 Z! N1 p0 v- D. D/ [ P0 Y" e0 r- post secondary diploma 6 B( ^& d8 a; Z; Y& @& Q/ D+ Y; O& w
- customer service and office clerical experiences
: z& Y D: T- H. B- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
4 f. C1 @! x; i- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
" c+ n6 D5 _+ i" e7 n' l8 v- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
8 {( w' N! i, S) }9 X" y* m- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
. V# \. M0 d# `) A) b- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members" {$ m$ F' X/ U, @' x4 j6 x
- update ASSIST website' r% o# o: u8 W+ I
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
! P+ X* I( X( t- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
# a; v' e0 R r5 V- assist in writing proposal for ISP( X$ W$ a5 C2 x2 m- [- B
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
/ H0 Q% Z2 a' a- hold regular meetings with ISP team
( \9 {) T& p( b/ m8 R# a- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time+ x& g9 L& o1 G& w4 e
- update membership database0 ]0 T. m8 B6 s* x5 i% d

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
. W) j/ j1 S- c, l1 ]! ?% F0 h( F- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
4 |" y, U1 ^ \, c0 A* L- experience in community work and immigrant services
