This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for2 q0 b+ }6 {1 {5 i4 g
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

2 t- w! M$ O: Z9 n0 KTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
. I5 ] u& l5 {5 m Q/ Kof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different1 m# _* L, W5 t: L; r! j5 U
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.9 o, t7 i0 X c8 _3 q8 B; L* x

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
