• 4 eggs, well beaten2 K1 [9 M; `8 i. c
PREPARATION:
( n' [1 p5 o6 B/ r3 u- C) `Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition.
' V- r, [ o* BTurn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. # O( y# b8 W* m5 K4 ]+ R l
Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.

I normally strictly follow the amount for each ingredient the recipe calls for, except SUGAR( I prefer to cut it to ¾ or 2/3 of the recipe. It is too sweet for some Chinese. But if you like the sweetness of the Cake Mix you got from super market, you can follow the recipe.6 y. n; |/ c! g0 H u/ c0 j* G$ U
! ?' K8 g- d- l6 j- ?For beating, you can buy a simple Hand Mixer for about $10. It can not only be used for making cakes but also bread, or mashed potatoes(土豆泥)ect. |
