The Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University
" p" d: \/ C( d2 z# k o2 G% ~ of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the0 C: ]3 X! J/ F4 f
eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese# y- l3 ^1 ^; x( ], S" y
cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and
. C' o2 p; I! ? customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on
9 n( d4 S: `. m this broad land.
, d5 W! C' G. r5 a : H6 j: S9 G1 ~) a8 s
We encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to( s. c: v$ U" \) L9 g
contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and2 G2 _. c- v4 C1 H1 t
talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in( z: H# s" [+ V0 S* k
performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show2 L: b- v; m5 [" Y9 ]7 a* r" Z
ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in
( Y& p; h3 p: c. P w Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a

5 |- A" ? f" G3 R) j; Q5 Y, D sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),1 P+ Q ?: i% \
stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any
+ S/ C/ d. c8 h4 a5 t" Z$ q4 | performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your0 q+ u5 E0 o# }- d8 `
program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up
1 P7 F; Z$ G- ^7 i+ F# u$ Y. I4 D comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since g7 B1 V/ ?3 q
CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.; S" Q" {" D! i& z: b
& f) _- v B7 M: ~) D8 JMeanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also; |1 U2 y- n$ A+ K D
on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system' g3 D2 [& h& I: Z; N6 R+ |
control.
