Senior Agency/Program Manager

Board
& l0 f- ~6 R" Z! S3 A# e•        reports directly to the Board of Directors
•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals
•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board
•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation

Staff
- B8 T  a3 O' O0 y) k; D•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff
0 i& b8 f" ^% _& @. \) \1 b•        provide leadership to staff and volunteers
•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions
) L+ P' x6 g& k% s% a: g•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators
•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth
, f0 }5 q0 D9 o' T•        meet with staff on regular basis
8 H5 G8 D% Y  V+ Q+ h•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

Programs/Services
8 i2 j/ i0 Z$ M: @5 y8 }% ]•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders
- h9 w2 v+ G* h. ]: l/ }' y, [/ p8 I•        set program priorities and directions
•        identify community and user needs and trends
•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends
•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research
7 U* L' F  w" ~- s•        maintenance of appropriate reporting
•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required
•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development
•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

: G$ r: b# B- X: h& M/ ?External Relations
•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
6 c4 e6 F2 y& u& e  H( H( E3 c, t•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders
•        communicate the value of the organization to the public
•        identify community needs and trends
•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
* x0 Y0 r$ e3 y& B1 N- p•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.
•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

, N" }' \/ \* A+ Q$ YQualifications
-        University degree in a related field;
0 q- ?% q7 R; C2 g% M) v-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
: E" J  ^  U7 b-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
