• develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures

• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• meet with staff on regular basis

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders" ?5 s1 P, Z4 M5 P

• identify community and user needs and trends! A+ W! w- ]% ]4 i
• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

External Relations
# ?& ?8 c( I! j• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities+ e4 K2 d: C8 T' x- J6 t0 L) i. [
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders7 e" A" D2 I. f
• communicate the value of the organization to the public& T' J# _/ S4 X! _
• identify community needs and trends! u' c* u( M: P# W- |2 a" h7 J
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups9 O6 C% u% n( q! V0 [6 T
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups- X: }) z8 n, D3 d) v( R
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems. S; O3 |8 U2 H @
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff0 z( G% r! l; d- u/ Z. r
2 T& f4 x, J: x) m. vQualifications
: @$ }; g4 G5 Z3 a- University degree in a related field; ' l a/ e g/ Z
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
# H I. F" U1 s: ~9 k. p" k7 }6 Z/ t- }- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
% h$ o+ x' P8 D4 ^; [6 @: {0 v; h- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
# p i# c7 b# J2 O' r$ r2 r: T8 w6 C" L/ s/ c* Q! l/ R
Salary
0 \+ d$ S; k' n4 N5 @- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits 2 f/ M8 P; M% r; ~5 `1 X
