Senior Agency/Program Manager

•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals- E0 H! p% I1 C) o
•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board9 o& j0 h% g( N
•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation( d5 r% x) N  W

•        is accountable for effective administration of agency

•        develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures& B0 K$ _; I, Q3 N* C. D

•        develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets& }* O  w" S& Q- Q

•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff/ Y, a6 u) P; P) C; m0 {$ l% _) @
•        provide leadership to staff and volunteers
) Q& B( J4 l* L•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions
- |# z4 r+ T* W8 K( q5 k•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators3 n9 a6 R! J, z* ~# q( e
•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth: e1 S) d2 i, C
•        meet with staff on regular basis

•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
- q  y+ N* F, I' f  n. H•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders
% z0 E/ @6 n' L7 d( p5 n2 [* M' t- b•        set program priorities and directions ! f  v  F* {+ H) u( ?
•        identify community and user needs and trends+ e" ~5 t  E4 v  L8 X
•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends4 S+ o& M6 c. d3 d) C1 m
•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research  e1 N8 g6 X) ^8 k) V
•        maintenance of appropriate reporting1 L: ^  z! e( \- _
•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required# V3 X( |7 h" [+ ~
•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development7 V1 X' u8 |% o. ~
•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others1 t+ @1 }7 b6 i5 Q

8 D( _$ K8 E/ c) p( _  \•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
6 D1 S: Q1 L3 V  e& W% b( T•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders, Q& @! k7 g: Q* [7 X& l
•        communicate the value of the organization to the public& B2 v4 e  u. P: b3 K
•        identify community needs and trends
  j% E: ^: h  F+ V  h8 }. ~1 Z* r  @•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups. N' @  @9 e% ^% h/ f: D' Y
•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups) E2 a$ c. h2 B8 _6 ?. w" u  y
•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.8 A* b# u9 B& L! W$ x
•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff
% H5 g; K4 A0 M! q& W% E* N
; F$ U! _& Z9 e6 qQualifications
4 V) E9 W4 W* A% R3 t# v# B, e, y-        University degree in a related field; ! A- K. ?) G+ i4 Z9 Q. D# b
-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
- {+ P6 B: s- s2 @3 k1 z' q-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
/ a, a/ i9 V- w: U+ ^: }% w-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 4 X- T) ~- W; a/ s

2 d/ z, ^# V2 w9 Z-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
