• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

• provide opportunities for staff development and growth

Programs/Services

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities2 r8 l6 W, C' [# X, R$ Q) B
• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends5 _5 X2 {) O1 \

• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups0 z( x! m. l# E" t9 W1 ]
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
* x0 Y0 r$ e3 y& B1 N- p• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems." P1 X- A, f. [( Q
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff( X/ ?: m- G; L: H* ]* ~

- University degree in a related field;
0 q- ?% q7 R; C2 g% M) v- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;( P; k. W0 m5 o G; k
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
: E" J ^ U7 b- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 9 Y/ Q! ?# V* }$ E0 ?. X$ \" L

- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
