9 x3 T/ Q# j0 f- submit information for community news & V$ |8 I7 ~( A* G/ ^
- provide volunteers to update membership database8 _1 ?4 P' \. M" m0 u) Y
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers+ h, G& c, z# }
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
0 B h; R$ {. ?7 B# _ G5 I- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
~& G2 [! Z0 X7 f" Y- provide volunteers for various programs
0 P# {; ?8 W* M; B6 L- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
' I; M- A2 B0 J' n$ d: [0 z4 x- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation6 Y7 c/ `( m$ [& x3 B% T% E: I
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities' m" d0 I9 w5 \6 I
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services' s" ~$ a9 P6 ]
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
! J0 J t( g9 r; X+ G* j- Q- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed9 x( E+ |# X" b$ W3 l& C1 A/ H
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed i' p$ R! k+ @
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)- t- h( Y, M! _, l
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
$ T) _6 Q( G$ r# K9 M- r- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers - j/ J9 p: l9 v- s# L1 [+ ]* T
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis . |8 w; \5 z8 Q, ?% l& }1 H! d

Qualifications
& p# ]# a$ N0 D, T2 U/ P8 s# D- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
9 ]' G; s, \# I& C6 r- good oral and written Chinese and English skills, B' ?2 E( e# Z8 f. S$ V3 t
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services0 K5 r$ O" ]' `" C, D+ y+ b; c! _ h
- leadership skills1 G: T: g% X/ M, {
- management and supervision skills5 Y, y R# D5 k" |, t
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills2 h" u* x; h" [$ P. Y7 l1 Y5 c
